From cuneiform writing to emoji

About the exhibition
In his nonfiction comic "It is written - from cuneiform writing to emoji", the Ukrainian-born artist Vitali Konstantinov deals with the writings of our world.
His research ranges from the beginnings of the first script to the emoji of today. With a mixture of sarcasm and know-how he summarizes the history of the development of writing in speech bubbles and drawings, true to detail. The readers of his comic book will also find art typefaces in his wimmelbook, like the "Tengwar" from J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" or the "Klingon" from "Star Trek".
In addition to this wealth of information, the exhibition also provides an insight into the creation of comic drawings. The speech bubbles were left as blank spaces and text was later inserted by the artist during production. Thus, visitors will find original drawings without text in the showcases of the cabinet exhibition.
